Fully Independent
Off-Grid Solar System
An off-grid system is not connected to the national grid at all. Panels charge a battery bank that powers your property directly, the right choice for remote sites, farms, or locations where a grid connection is unreliable, expensive to extend, or unavailable.

HOW IT WORKS
Off-Grid Solar System
An off-grid system stands entirely on its own. Solar panels charge a battery bank through a charge controller, and the battery powers your property directly through an inverter, with no connection to the national grid at all. Because the battery bank has to cover every hour of use, including nights and cloudy days, off-grid systems are sized more conservatively than hybrid systems, with enough panel capacity and storage to get you through low-sun periods.
There is no net billing or DISCO paperwork involved, since the system never touches the grid. Sizing is the most important decision here, and we walk through your actual daily and nightly usage during the free site survey to get it right.
Best Suited For
- Remote farms, dairies and rural properties
- Sites with no practical grid connection
- Locations where grid extension costs more than going solar
- Backup for critical equipment that cannot ever lose power
- Seasonal or temporary sites away from the grid

FAQ
Off-Grid Solar System FAQ
No. Off-grid systems are completely independent of the national grid, so there is no net metering, net billing, or DISCO paperwork involved.
Your battery bank is sized to cover low-sun periods based on your actual usage, which is why an accurate load assessment during the site survey matters so much for off-grid systems.
Off-grid systems typically need a larger battery bank since there is no grid to fall back on, which can mean a higher upfront cost than a hybrid system of the same panel size.
